Project Information
I've made this tapering jig over a weekend, size is 12"x36". It's very simple and easily made with standard shop materials. The base is made from repurposed 3/4" plywood, that was a shelf before. And then some red oak for the runner and fence. The fancy handle is maple. I routed out a few slots and screwed on a track put in a few bolts and knobs on and to top it off some clamps. Did I mention I added screws into the runner to keep it running tight and straight. Works well as a tapering jig and is able to joint a face too. I added a single screw to reference off a single point and plan to add a laminate top to the surface soon, this color is killing me.
Thanks for looking and to all the LJ's who posted designs before me, I looked at all of them and came up with this for me it will be perfect.
