Project Information
My mom asked me to make this letter holder for a convenient place for us to let each other know that mail needs to go to the mailbox. Since our mailbox is 1/2 mile from the house whoever is going out the driveway first takes the mail. This pattern came from Creative Woodworks & Crafts August 2008 issue. The creator is Wayne L Bosler III.
The base and uprights are 1/2" Oak and the applique is made of 1/4" Walnut. On the bottom the screws are recessed, but I went ahead and glued on felt just incase of someone slides it around. A light coat of laquer was applied for the finish.
This is the first time I've done anything with this much applique. It wasn't too bad, but I'll have to say I not very good at the shaping part. I'll have to practice some more.
Thanks for looking.
