Project Information
Just uploaded my first project on here yesterday. It was a rotating book/trinket shelf. These "Jake's Chairs" were my first real project though. They are what started me in woodworking. After just moving into our first house, my wife went to do work doing a night shift. I went out for a drive, saw one of the big box stores and went in, as I'd never been there before. Looking around I saw the circular saws and thought "every man needs a circular saw." I bought it, brought it home and though, "what the heck can I do with this now?" Being my first real too, I researched projects that could be done with minimal tools and found "Jake's Chair." Afer buying a jigsaw and getting a Valentine's Day router as a present, I was hard at it. The first one was built completely outside in February on our deck with only those tools and a cordless drill. I was a little concerned about how long the pine would hold up, but the first one is still holding up after 4 years, even being left outside, buried under the snow for months during our Newfoundland winters.
