Project Information

Okay, this is as simple a project as one can get. BORG pine planed and jointed to form a simple wall cupboard. I made two of them as the wife wanted on on the wall on each side of our bed. They were finished with Peacock Blue milk pain and sanded to the rustic look of the wife's liking.

It was fun to make because it only took a couple hours, and I still like the smell of pine.

With all the amazing talent on this forum, I hesitiate to post this HAHA.

I went to your site and noticed your mantel clock right away. Looks great ! Did you make or purchase the face ?
I also enjoyed the legs on your tablesaw ; )

Bought the clock face from Clock-It. I made a ton of those clocks for Christmas one year using oak, cherry and walnut.

Yes, the legs on the table saw are the best looking thing in my shop :)

"as simple a project as one can get"

Whether pine, maple or exotic….
Your "little" project contains more skill than I can muster….
But that really isn't saying much!!! ;^)

Keeping SWMBO happy is NOT a "simple" project…
Ya done good!!!

I almost exclusively work with pine although I eventually will get into hardwoods more. I love that pine is cheap and I agree with you - I love the smell of cutting though a pine board. I also like to make primitive furniture and pine with all its imperfections adds alot of character.

Thanks all! I appreciate the kind words.

I'm making a pine wall unit to match at the present time and will post pics when it is done as it is a more ambitious project.

Why complicate matters, keep things simple and fun. Looks good to me. Hope you and the good lady enjoy them.
