Project Information
This is just a fun little project I decided to do after my wife wanted to buy one. These things go for big money with the lady folk I hear. She posted this on her etsy and facebook sites she uses for her crafts at $75 bucks and already there are takers messaging her. Looks like I'll be making more.
It's simply a piece of 2×4…30 inches on top and bottom, 20 on sides. Corners cut at 45, I beat up the wood slightly, but not a whole lot…put some screws on the ground and stepped on the wood on them to give it a little bit of a worn rustic look. Then took some ebony stain, wiped it on, then wiped it off…it got the pine streaks nicely. She bought the iron pieces at a craft store for about 12 bucks total. I made the metal backing out of an 8 inch diameter a/c conduit. I unrolled it and screwed it to the back. There's a metal wire on the back to hang it on the wall.
All in all, took a few hours, neat stuff…possibly make some money on this quick little project, and it was fun to do!
Thanks for looking!
