I got my new Bostich Compressor from Bostich Stanley

However, I haven't had a chance to try it out yet because of my recent stay in hospital. But as soon as I do I'll give a review of it in the review section. All I know is I got perfect attention from Mr Gary Blanchette, the Director of Product Developement for Bostich Stanley. There was never an e-mail that went unanswered, and I mean the same day, he even gave me an upgrade on the gun I had from an 18 gauge to a 23 gauge. I have great faith in the company now, and I feel a debt of gratitude to Lumberjocks for being the medium from which I was heard. As soon as I am able I will give a review of the compressor, but I have no doubt it will operate with the effeciency that the other did until I had the problem with the abnormal part. A big thank you to Gary Blanchette, Lumberjocks, and Bostich Stanley.

Hi Mike,

You have a nice tool to play with. I have the narrow crown stapler, 15 gauge and 18 gauge guns. I have never had a minutes problem with them. One thing I have learned about them though is that, like my cordless drills, only under extreme duress will I hammer a nail by hand. Even if I need only 1 nail I will fire up the compressor and use my nail guns to drive it in. I am sure my hand skills are deteriorating but it is the price we pay for technology.

By the way just take it easy with the new tool. Whenever we get something new like this there is an immediate adrenaline rush to "play with it". Just keep busy but don't overdo it.

Thanks for the post, Mike.

Hi Mike;

Good to see you posting again!

The tools can wait until your up to it. And so can we to get your review.

Very good of you to mention the good customer service. That's almost a forgotten art!

Stay out of trouble!

What did you do, and is there a jig we can build to get you walking again?!

My stepson bought the Bostich "pancake style" compressor and it developed an issue suddenly, of not being able to reach anything higher than 80psi. So he called Bostich and seems they knew exactly what he was talking about and informed him of a "recall of sorts", and sent him the update package…which is basically a new set of valves and valve head. (They use a set of three spring steel flapper valves…one had broken).

Anyhow, the parts arrived and the compressor is back in service. Send in your warranty card Mike.
