Project Information

This is my 12th clock. Took about a year to finish - I got lazy! It's a commissioned piece that will eventually be shipped to Germany. It's about 7' in height and 32" square at the base. It's predominantly walnut and figured maple. The face/hands are features found in the Breguet line of fine watches. That was a design aspect that the owner wanted and I'm glad he introduced me to the Breguet watches, they're beautiful works of art. This clock runs on a 30lb weight for 36 hours/wind. The dials include days, seconds, minutes and hours. The escape rocker has two pieces of glass acting as the escape pallets. Those were created by the owner. This clock keeps near perfect time. I don't have any plans for it. I do all of my work from hand drawn sketches, most only legible for me! Some day I will put a book together and publish. Hope this project stirs your creative juices!

Simply an amazing and beautiful design, and very intricate, especially for a piece of that size. You are a master of your craft, and it shows in this piece.

Wow Max, that might be your best clock yet. I actually can't believe it took only a year! Astounding design and mechanics. Ever since I first saw one of your clocks I've wanted to build one myself… someday it will happen.

Definitely your best clock yet. Love the old school radio antenna look of the case. I say it was worth the year!

Hi Charles,

Super WOW!!! That is what I said out loud when I first saw the picture of this clock.

I was thinking that I haven't seen anything new from you in awhile, and that you must be making another one of your masterpieces.

This M12 Clock is very beautiful, your attention to detail is very impressive.

It would be really cool to see you write a book on your clocks, I would definitely buy a signed copy!
