Project Information

This is my creation based on the model sold at pottery barn. My fiancé wanted one and suggest that I make one as a project, so I did. I have about 12 hours and $350 into the project. (the knobs she picked out were $5 each!) Happy wife, happy life, am I right?! In all it saved me about $700 from the retail price and is built and looks A LOT better. Plus It gave me a reason to spend a little extra time in the shop which has never hurt anyone. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful piece. I was thinking of something along those lines myself. Hope mine turns out as nice.

The case is maple plywood and the top is poplar (I know it's soft but just used what I had). Michagander, I used General Finishes brand stain. The case is espresso and the top is black cherry.

Love the look, and way better than the store bought ones. Great job!
