Layout & Begining Carving Steps, King # 1
I have recently been commissioned to carve a column for in a customers home. The opposing two sides of column is hand-carved to match artwork provided by customer of two different Persian Kings while the other two sides will have routed flutes down the sides.
One is of the Persian king seated on a cushioned throne and holding a staff and flower, two traditional symbols of royal power in Persia and the second one is a Persian King in Combat with a Monster and Evil Spirit.
Thank you for looking, and happy woodworking
Isometric View of Column 18" Square x 8'-0" Tall
