Project Information

I did this project last summer so my memory is a little faded on this. Made of solid red oak all the way around (left over from a project), no plywood. I counter-balanced the weight of the mortiser with a bunch of left over roofing shingles stacked in at the bottom, right below the bottom drawer. Drawer sides are baltic birch ply with the matching oak false front (forgot to include a picture of the inside of the drawers). The mortiser is bolted down of course. Finish is Old Masters Gel stain (mahogany I think) and Arm-R-Seal. The casters are the double locking kind and were purchased from Lee Valley. Very heavy to move but still moveable. When the casters are locked it feels like I'm using a stationary machine. Any questions….shoot.

Great cabinet, definitely worthy of the tool that sits on top of it.
