Project Information

Began to remodel kitchen and in the demo we discovered the cupboards went all the way to the ceiling, which meant more work for me! We went with glass doors on all the tops. Cabinets are painted cream color, all the hardware and faucet is oil rubbed bronze.
The countertops I made from red oak.
Remodel included new cabinets, new counter, new sink and faucet, plumbing, electric, additional cabinets, replaced window, all new lighting ( lights over the sink I made using old blue mason jars), hardware, paint and etc.
By checking prices on internet and using sales and coupons, complete remodel of kitchen totaled $1346.00

Buy that at your big box store!!!!

Great looking kitchen. I love the lights. What did you finish the countertop with?

Very nice work. Just out of curiosity, what are the drawers in the upper cabinets for?

The ones over the butcher block holds spices for cooking, the other has the baking spices/ingredients. They were made deep enough to hold the spice jars.
The two drawers on the other side of the kitchen have odd and ends, coffee filters, etc.
Everything is nearby but out of sight.

Nice kitchen. I really like face frame cabinets. How did you do the painting? Spray or by hand? Great work,

That's fantastic, and the cost is 1/8th of what would be normal.
My only suggestion is the beige electrical switches. You might want to change those to white to match the appliances and backsplash. And get the ground fault kind

Did an amazing job on the remodeling. The room looks much brighter and spacious. Like the color and the design. Excellent work!

Looks great! White kitchens always add a touch of elegance. I also like your choice of the beadboard for the backsplash. Looks fantastic!

Jim:
How about a few more pics so I can see where your other appliances are located. I have what appears to be a similar kitchen layout and want to do about the same thing.

Very nice remodel of existing cabinets. What kind of paint did you use on the cabinets? Spray or brush applied?
