Project Information

The owner of my local pub commissioned me to build him a beer pong table and was not specific about anything except that he wanted the top to be 4×8. Well this is what I came up with, the top is 3/4 oak ply every thing else is poplar, I don't have a lathe so I bought four stairway newel post and cut them to fit. Since it was going in a bar I new it was going to take a lot of abuse so I glued and screwed everything. In the end it turned out to be a tank of a table as I have seen as many as five girls dancing on top of it at once.

Hey Jeff , beer pong is played by setting up ten cups on each end of the table then you take turns tossing a ping pong ball at your opponents cups if you sink the ball they have to drink that cup and remove it from the table. It is a young man's game more suited for college kids than an old man like me.

Hey, Eddie, I know too well the game of beer pong. I've played with six cups per side, which is why I made the reference. ;-)

... and I agree, it is more the young man's game. ;-)
