Project Information
The first ornament is made from cedar and is the very first try. Kinda fat huh? After I put it on a diet it began to turn into the other two. Haaa Haaa
The next two are from cherry. As I got braver they got thinner and longer. I really enjoyed making these as it is so relaxing. It is also challenging to get them down in size and longer in length. What's so much fun is that you have no pattern. Just start turning and let your imagination run.
They aren't finished yet as my wife is the finish person. I don't do finishes so good. I am thinking about trying some of the stuff Carl Jacobson or Capt Eddie use as it can be used on the lathe.
I would like to make enough that all the women in our family could choose one off the tree but that may have to wait till next Christmas.
