If there are those of you out there that are mad because this doesnt have anything to do with woodworking….here's the alternate title:

How I collect my wood for carving canes…

enjoy :)

My big boy chancey would chase the ball endlessly, unfortunately 2 weekends ago, I had to put him down. He got hit by a car. My wife is still devastated :( We miss you big boy! Pumpkin (my avatar) is also still very depressed

Very cool dog, a lot like mine!
I think mine picked up the woodworking bug from me. When I first got him as a pup he would go out to the "shop" with me and catch the shavings as I worked with my hand planes.
Whenever I need toothpicks etc, all I need to do is hand him a piece of wood.
Now if I could just get him to properly flatten a board!

I love the video. Like some of the others I had a great dog for 13 years. Her name was felony and she was 100 pound female rot. The dog looked like a killer but was nothing but a lover. I can recall one cold day I was roofing my garage and could hear felony crying. I looked down to see what was going on and the water meter lady and my dog were rolling in the snow playing. The water meter lady said she couldn't wait to get to my house and see felony. Sure looks like you have a great dog.

Now can we talk about the swing in the video. On her 2nt swing she clearly rolls her wrist. First time she hit the ball she crushed it with good form. 2nt time she rolls and drives the ball right into the ground. Reminder her to get long through the ball. We call it 6 inches of punch. We can't have the dog chasing weak grounders. :)

What a cutie! His tail is wagging the whole time :) I love at the end when he is pushing himself along the carpet - never seen that move before. I love my dog but she does not have the slightest interest in chasing things. Sometimes I wish she did and others I am glad she does not.

Josh - what you didn't see were the 15 attempts it took for her to hit the ball those 2 times!! :). She's not a ball player that's for sure! Our dog LOVES playing ball tho. He loves just about anything having to do with fetching

LOL!!!! This reminded me so much of my border collie Oakley, especially the last scene where he's sliding his nose on the carpet. Oakley used to do that after a bath, it was so funny! What a treat, thanks for sharing.
