Project Information
He's just retired AGAIN and is home all day with time on his hands so he found a way to keep them busy.
Round 1 - single bird houses.
Round 2 (about to begin) - feeders.
We were fortunate to have a sizeable stack of 16' 2×4, 2×6, 2×8 and 2×10 western red cedar left over after building our log home and also fortunate to have a buyer for them. He works on these during the week while I'm in the finish shop and on weekends we work on two-person projects. Next up - a 36×36 walnut table and a custom nook shelving unit.
Also pictured - a white oak slab, 4" thick. Customer wants to eventually use as a table top. We added jatoba bow ties to stabilize the cracks then sanded glass smooth. In the process now of several coats of high gloss finish and will be glad to see this go out the door.
