Project Information

Here is a mallet I made from chokecherry. I just couldn't help myself. I tried to fight it, but everyone else kept posting picutres of the mallets they made and I caved to the peer pressure. There are a few flaws in it but that's okay. If it was perfect I'd probably put it on shelf as display and never use it. Now I can use it. It has BBs in it for weight and leather on the ends so it doesn't mar what you're hitting. So far I've only done of couple of test hits on the bench with it though (yes I did yell "Order, Order in court"). I haven't really figured out what I'm going to use it for yet. I'm sure I'll figure something out. If nothing else I guess I can keep my brother in law in check with it!

Nice man hammer. The chokecherry is a rather nice touch.

you're gonna need a bigger hammer than that to keep this brother in law in line!

Chokecherry, that just sounds cool. How many people can say that their mallet is chokecherry. Good job on the mallet.

Great job Oliver 15. Beautiful grain pattern on your mallet. I've made two of them in the last couple of months and it's amazing how much I use them. Very handy tool to have around.
