Have the above belt sander and want to sell it and upgrade to 22/44 pro

I have two questions… 1) where would be a good site to sell a jet 16/32 in great shape. 2) what experience does anyone have with this upgraded drum sander, looking at the jet 22/44 Pro? The reason I wanted to upgrade is the material I had to sand was too much for the 16/32, it bound up and scored the wood. I had two 5.5" Oak boards 1.5" thick…7' long. I had rollers guiding the boards in and out. The good news is that it bound up on the bottom for the table I'm making. Thanks Dennis

I have that sander and it can have issues with adjusting the depth of the roller. One time a little turn of the lever can be very different from the next. It does a nice job overall. I bought mine through Craigslist. I paid $600.00 for an almost new machince. If I were trying to sell it i would go to the tool swap forum here, woodnet forums, or woodcentral classifieds. Good luck. If i ever upgrade, it will be to a much bigger type of sander.

To start of this is a very good sander for it's size. You may have done two or three things wrong.
You may have tried to take off to much material at one time. It is not a thickness Planner.
You may be using the wrong grit sandpaper. The Sandpaper may not on good and tight on the drum.
The speed for the sanding may have been set to fast.
The Thickness sander is designed to sand, not to plane and it will make a surface nice and flat
It a great tool with very little maintenance needed.
These are things that I have done wrong, but learning how to use the sander and use good sandpaper, I don't have any problems anymore.
Have Fun

Thanks for the Information on where I may go to sell the 16/32. I have used this sander for 30+ projects and have a good feel for it's operating capabilities. Watching the depth and using it as a sander after I had already planned the board is exactly what the plan was. The sander bound up even with the slightest pressure. As I indicated need stronger HP to drive the machine.
