I agree with everyone else. A great job.
I know its wood…..............but I have NO idea how this technique is accomplished.

A very nice piece of work!

Very well done. If not a blog, how about just telling us your method of attaching the bow pieces so they don't break off.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I actually found this project in the "Creating Wooden Boxes on the Scroll Saw". It is published by The Best Of Scrollsaw woodworking & Crafts Magazine. I could try and do a blog if everyone would like. The ribbons are much easier than they look.

That is WAY fancy! It looks pretty labor intensive to me.

I would be interested in the blog/writeup on the technique too. I have done flat ribon as inlays before (sandwiching a few pieces of wood together and then cutting it across the sandwich in thin pieces) but I have never seen arc's like that for the bow. Really spectacular work.

Here's the big question of the day. Seeing as I made this box from plans in a woodworking book, would I get in trouble by creating a blog on how this technique is done? Would that be considered copy right infringement?

you can write a blog about your experience and what you did (even your following hte step by step directions) but don't scan in the pages of the magazine and post them online
