Project Information

It was raining today so the outdoor job was off and I had this set of 6 free screwdrivers from Harbor Freight sitting on the bench. I needed a set in the motor home to be in a handy place so I decided to cut out this holder and one for my friend, Tim, for his free set. I plan to hang it on the back of one of the doors so it will be quick to grab one. I made it so you can easily see the end of the screw driver. The Phillips go on the right and the flat blades on the left. It was made out of scrap oak and I stained mine with Zar 120 stain and coated with clear lacquer. Tim may want a different color so I left it raw.

Talk about imagination Jim, you have it in abundance. It wouldn't look out of place in any home.

Like the idea Jim and most likely I will be making one for myself when it cools down some and I can find shop time.
Hope all is well with you and family

Thank you all for the nice comments. If you get any of those free screwdrivers, I hope you can make one of these to store them. Heck it would work for any set of screwdrivers. I just like to have them organized and then I can see if one is missing. I used to have to pull out the toolbox in the motor home to get a screwdriver and now I just reach behind the closet door!!

I could have made just a straight board, but it was raining out and I like to get creative and I had the time, so….......................there you have it. Be sure to post one if you make it!!!.....................Jim
