I love rosewood. Have you ever made any out of walnut or is the grain to tight to make it strong for this application?

I just sent out a walnut tote. Here is another I happen to have a picture of.



Shane, I bought a piece of rosewood from the local lumber yard. I bought a 3' piece thinking it would last a while, but I've already made a bunch of these and its just about gone.

i probably should update this but the only real difference is I have made a wooden template instead of using the paper ones.

and one more thing, I've got 2 broken bases. One I show in the blog, the second is cut off right in front of the riser so its easy to get the length exact. I'll update the blog as soon as I remember to take some pictures.
