Project Information
The miter saw station is almost done so I thought I would post some photos.
Photo 1 shows the finished, well almost finished, project. The two 1/4 in side panels on each side of the saw can be removed for large angle compound cuts, the saw can also slide out for these cuts as needed.
Photo 2 shows the dust collection for the saw. I used a hole saw to cut the holes into the 6 in vacuum pipe.
Photo 3 shows the backing for the laminate that I used in back of the saw.
Photo 4 shows a clamp to hold the saw in position. This is all the way back.
Photo 5 shows the saw all the way forward when making large angle compound cuts.
Photo 6 shows the curve of the laminate from the side without the 1/4 in side panels in place with the saw all the way back. The laminate is just screwed on, makes it easer to remove if need be. I am sure that 90% plus of my cuts will be in this position.
Left to do, drawers, top on cabinets on each side of the saw station, an extended fence on each side of the saw.
