This is a nice spoon. To me this is an absolutely gorgeous spoon. Seeing the second one to compare the two will be nice as well.

Thanks for the post.

I don't know a lot more about it. After my recent exposure of the Lee Valley tools catalog cover, I got a lot of commission work. One of the inquiries was from a very serious spoon collector. He is putting together a collection of 99 spoons that must fit one specific dimension as mentioned. The collection is to be somehow part of the Smithsonian, but I am not exactly sure how. I am being paid for the work and will deliver them to him, when I know more I'll let you know.

When I opened the project page, it came up so that I could see this spoon, but the name of the poster was cut off by the bottom edge of my screen. I thought "Gee, that sure looks like some of Mike's work." Then I scrolled down and saw I was correct.

Great stuff, as always!

Now that would really be a challenge for most Jocks. Brilliant work.

Sweet!!! What a compliment (deserving, of course)

This spoon is beautiful. Except for the curved handle it reminds me of a wooden spoon that I use (been passed down a few generations). It is my favourite spoon to use. I guess it is the shape of the bowl and the tip of the bowl that makes it special.

Can't wait to see the second spoon and to hear more about the project

send me a note and tell me how the invitation was sent to you. I'd enjoy hearing how you were selected.
