Project Information

This was my oldest sons bedroom when we lived in Virginia. I need to find the picture that I used for inspiration, it would help explain the lightning. Here all you see is an empty room really, but all his furniture was painted red with blue spider webbing as well. Even though it is a bit dark he loved it.

I locked my wife and son out for three days and built the bed and painted the room. I started the spiderman figure but never finished before we moved.

I really enjoyed the airbrushing the lighting, though it did take awhile as the vertigo kept causing me to want to throw up or fall over. I have a much better understanding now of what we as human beings go through when we get older.

The bed is made from had picked construction grade doug fir. I went through the stack and got the best ones I could find.

Thanks Chrisstef,

Yes he was very happy and excited! I was not as dard with all the red furniture, toys and Spiderman posters, so it was a much happier room.

Very Respectfully,

Nate

Yes it is nice. I can relate more than I want to mention on here, that is why I have a cartoon for an avatar, my face has scared and disgusted many children and adults but with operations and time it's getting better Thankyou.;)

Nate, you have outdone your self!! Looks like you found a niche for specialty beds. I don't know of anyone else in that business and it could be lucrative!!Also, you could park the tablesaw and do more with that air brush…you are good!!!!!!!.................Jim

that is pretty awesome, I can only imagine your sons response. So did you paint the new room to match the bed when you moved?

Bob,

I am so sorry to hear that. I cannot identify with that. I am sorry. Mostly people just look at me like I am crazy or faking…thats the worst. I am so sorry you are suffering!

Know you have a friend here!!!!

Very Respectfully and Gratefully,

Jacob,

Alas, the bed did not come with us and the boys new bedroom is still plain. There are plans in the works for a new awesome room but my health keeps putting it off…that and my floor…and school..and honeydo's…and so on.. Hm the more I right the worse I feel. I need to just do it. They are only young ONCE!:).

Very Gratefully,

I know how it feels to have a project be pushed back because of other projects, honey do's and just life. Keep in mind depending on the age of your son, they love to learn and can be a huge help. My son has helped with both a kitchen faucet change out and dishwasher install and while doing mostly tool handing he was smiling ear to ear the hole time.

Jacob,

Thanks for the understanding. I think that is the number one need of every human…to be understood…Anyway, That is great advice! I love working with my dad, that is how I learn so much my foundation. I hope to pass that on to my sons.

Very Gratefully

That looks great but I think boys are young once and their minds never grown up… I would sleep in room like that
