Project Information

After viewing Vipond33's "Terrace", which is very nice indeed, I decided to post this. I made it for my brother for Christmas about ten years ago. I stacked the wood squares to the different heights and wrapped the board with maple. And topped that with a walnut molding. I finished it early Christmas morning. In fact I gave him the finish to put on it because I didn't have time.
This is the only pic I have of it right now. I'll have to go visit my brother and get some more pictures.

Ok here's a pic with the pieces on it. As far as assembly, I just stacked and glued plywood spacers under the blocks and then glued the stacked blocks together.

Gives 3d a new meaning. It must be fun to play this way. Are the individual squares solid pieces but different heights? Great project!

That is a REALLY nice board!! I made one out of birds eye maple and purple heart and was pretty proud of it but I have to take my hat off to yours! It's beautiful!! Nice job. I would also be interested in a "How To" blog link if you were ever to make it available.
