Project Information
I'm not sure if this is worth posting, but it helpes me build chairs, so maybe it'll help someone else as well. I am making a dozen dining chairs with 1.75" square legs. The backs need to tilt back 5.5 degrees. I can plane a 2×4 down to 1.75, then joint 1 edge and cut 1 end square. Then I shove it against the 2 rails, clamp down and cut. I make a rough cut, then bump the fence over to the known number and take a light finish cut. The rockler clamps bolt down in some threaded metal inserts in the bottom sled. They held the leg tighter than I thought, never had a problem.
