Project Information

My Son-in-Law John came up with this airplane idea for Grandson Jack's room, since he wanted it done in airplanes. My Wife & Daugheter painted the blu sky & clouds on the wall, John & I constructed the plane from a drawing he had done on a piece of scrap paper. The prop was cut/sanded/carved from a solid Oak 2×6 & actually has the pitch like a real prop. The leading edge of the wings are from a ripped oak 2×4 & sanded to a rounded front edge, we used oak plywood for the shelving & undersides. note the landing lights in the bottom of the wings. The fuselage is a wastebasket with some plastic paint for the stripe. Jack loves his airplane…............Thanks for looking

Ok, You and I My friend must be living in a parallel universe !!(LOL) I have a Grandson named Jack and I built him an Airplane Shelf for his birthday a short while back (posted in My projects page) and I am also in the middle of building him a Treasure Trunk much like Your other project post as well , Small world as they say ! You have put together some very nice looking builds on both counts and I am sure they were very rewarding, with smiles all around ! Welcome to L J's and stay safe !........ROB
