Project Information

This project was all-around fun. The frame is built out of 2×4's and the cabinet top, base, and dividers are made of cheap 3/4" plywood. The framing on the sides of the bar is 1/4# oak ply wood. The cabinet doors are made from 3/4" oak plywood. The bar top is made out of laminate flooring. My Wife suggested I cut a square around the sink which gave the top an accent and turned out really well. The laminate flooring is actually great because I don't have to worry about finishing it, clean up, or water marks. The backsplash is a piece of molding. This is a huge no-no (I know this) but it was cheap and easy. Maybe some day I will upgrade this to something nicer. Right now I have a set of NFL glasses that run across the backsplash so the ugly molding piece is covered up. I've also since built a shelf on the wall of the bar-back (not pictured). The only thing I didn't do myself was the plumbing. I installed the sink but do not sweat pipes. The fridge I picked out has a clear door and I love it for displaying craft beers. Enjoy while I enjoy one of those malty delights!

Nice job Iceburg with minimal cost. As an after thought you should have installed a toe space at the base.
