Project Information

Hello everyone, here is a box that I made awhile back that I modified with the Celtic knot carving. This box is made with yellow heart, padauk & wenge for the inlay on the top. I coated the top with epoxy to cover the carving to make it smooth. It measures 3"x 3"x 2 1/4" high. The last picture was taken before I did the carving. I finished it with about 5 coats of tung oil. I used a rare earth magnet inside the lid as a means of closure. Thanks for looking & happy wood working.

Cool box Mark. Covering the carving with the epoxy was a good idea. Not only does it look great but it will be forever safe from dings.
