Project Information

It started with a rotting tree down the street from my Mother-In Law. I took a couple of large trunk chunks and cleaned out all the soft spongy wood, then it hit me I would create a diarama of sorts, a Hobbits Home. Well I began working with hand tools and some air grinders, but became flustered. I sat it aside to think on how to proceed.
My wife loves to decorate and she didn't have anything for St Patrick's day for a table setting. She ask if I could turn a bowl for her so she could have a "Pot of Gold", I grabbed a 9"Dia limb I had in my stack and turned a very basic bowl, she didnt want it all polished so it only got a rough sanding, painted it black and gave it to her. She saw the tree stump and claimed it for her setting and there yea go. The wee people have a place to hide there gold and we can share in the loot.

Happy St Patrick's Day to all.

Now that is very cool. It's funny how things can turn out when you get flustered, isn't it? I know the feeling. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and yours.. looks good.

Wonderfull!!! Amazing!!! So much in this 'big' world tries to get us to conform. You took something from this world and transformed it. To what it wanted to be!

I like it very well!

Nice idae and rendition of it.

I also like the fact that I am not the only one on this site that is sort of "OUT-THERE!" some of the time.
