It's really, really beautiful. I mean really. I love the texture and color of the oak. Love the contrasting ties. Love the big contrasting dowels. Love the thickness and massive caps. Love the deep tool wells. Love it all.

Thanks! These boards are coming out of an old barn that was torn down. 600 board feet of nice 8/4 thick stock. I think I paid just over 15 cents a board foot ;)

After building several projects all that was left was a pile of warped boards, and in order to build a bench top out of it I had to cut them up into 26" long pieces. It was fun building the bench top, and I really enjoy using it every day.

Great work and what a work bench! Love the secret storage on the top as well. Any tip on the bow tie inlays? I'm getting ready to do some on a table top and just started practicing on them.

Wow….this is one oak workbench in the ultra heavyweight division for sure…lol. Looks great, love the look and color of it. I envy the wood selection and build….awesome!
