Project Information

I found the project in shop notes magazine, and since I had just acquired some old shipping pallets from my job, I thought this would be a handy tool shelf for my chisels and other frequently used tools. It took almost no time to build and its just finished with an 2 coats of an oil stain. The drawers should have knobs but my daughter confiscated them and is playing with them in her doll house, I can wait, she'll grow out of that eventually but more likely I will buy or make more knobs. Sorry about the fuzzy picture, I had to take it with my phone since we lost the camera 2 years ago when we moved to our current location.

Welcome to LumberJocks. Nicely done. I saw this and have added it to my list of projects, hopefully sooner then later. Recycling the pallet wood makes this one even better.
Look forward to seeing more.

@ Dusty56, I will look for the magazine I took the plans from and post the link as soon as I find out what it is. I modified the design a little as the bottom drawers were a little bigger, and I preferred the look of equal sized drawers.

@ clieb91 I try to use recycled lumber whenever I can, when I moved into my current residence my basement had 3/4 tongue and groove wall paneling, since we had a basement leak I had to remove it all. The paneling was the original when the house was built in 1952, needless to say a lot of my wood projects materials originated from the supply in my basement. I will post a couple of closet doors I made from that wood, as well as most every cabinet & tool stand in my workshop.

Bloody nicely done! Love it. Beats the heck out of the little box thats on the edge of my bench for those go-too tools. This is going on my ever growing list of projects to get too!
