Project Information

A standard outfeed table for my Grizzly G0690. Like the rest of my shop, it is portable and on flip-down wheels for moving around. It is perfect height for the outfeed. The shelf in the middle is great for storing glue drying pieces and still use the table. I splurged on the wheels and bought high quality shop wheels from woodcraft. It also supports my recent project, a Craps table, very nicely for parties. It also makes good for just using as a table for Birthday parties and other sorts of gatherings. The 1/8" hardboard top can be easily removed and replaced when it gets worn out

I have a table saw and a work table, but I never thought to connect the two together until now. Thanx for showing this dummy how to use what I have ! ! ! It's a great idea that doesn't cost another arm and a leg!
By the way, welcome to LJ . . . am looking forward to seeing more of your ideas and creations.

Great O/F table. I built a similar one and installed HD double locking casters on end away from the TS and fixed, non-locking, non-rotating casters on end near my TS. I can use as out feed or unlock and move it away for assembly where I need have access to all sides of the table.

All that sawdust means you have been working the wood!

Thanks for sharing.

An outfeed table is so important because it lets you handle big sheets of plywood and long stock….I have 2 tablesaws back to back, and a big outfeed in between them, so this way I can work from either saw….My Unisaw is set up to do regular wood stuff, and the old Craftsman is set up to cut rabbits and dados only..I never have to switch them out, so the big outfeed comes in really handy for working both sides of the saws….

Nice to have a shop that big to0 move it around. Have to remember to put my outfeed table higher on the to do list. Good planning, removable top! Think I might steal that. LOL

Have you considered mounting a router in it?

Doc, I did think about that. I have a seperate, roll about router table that is tucked under my main workbench that serves its purpose for right now. That was the outfeed/ routertable I used with my old table saw. With this saw, I decided to make it big enough I could support a whole 4×8 sheet on it and also use it for good assembly. I plan to make a new router table (one that is the typical, new yankee style table).

It most definately is the central point of my shop. It turned my Table saw from just another tool to a workstation and a great, solid assembly table. I really like the fact that I can position it anywhere I need because it is on wheels, but since they flip up when not being used (I took that Idea from a few others on this site) it is solid as a stationary table. This was a project I put off for years, and I am glad I finally got around to it.
