Project Information

Hello all, this short series of videos features the making of an assembly square I saw Charles Niel use in one of his videos. Many of you may already be familiar with this handy little device others may not. Either way, I hope you enjoy the videos.

I will forewarn you that the audio quality is less than desireable. It makes me sound as though I have something in my mouth.

GeometryTeacher, here is a photo that shows the square in use;

As you can see, I am using it to help me assemble a drawer box. For this application a spring clamp is all that is needed to hold . A second spring clamp would be used in one of the holes along the bottom of the square. If I were to use it on a larger project, a cabinet carcass for example, I would use a regular F clamp.

Unfortunately I do not have a link to the Charles Niel video that I saw the square in. It may have been in one of his Pie Safe build videos but I can't remember.

TomFran, you are welcome. I can't take credit for it. Like I said, I first saw it in a Charles Niel video. I credit him with it. As I always say, I like to share all good things with those around me.
