Project Information

I built this to display shot glasses and lighters I collected back when I wasted money on cigs. I still use the shot glasses though!!

I built this with 3/4" oak ply and used 1/4" oak ply for the cubicles and back. The stain is red Mahogany with three coats of satin lacquer. It measures 39" wide x 37 1/2" tall and 3" deep. It has 132 cubicles. I got my daughter to stand beside it to give a better idea of its size.

Now I've got an excuse to get more glasses and try em out.

Well, you do have to check them often to make sure they haven't developed any leaks.

This is a nice display case. It appears as if you have nearly filled it up. Looks like its time to generate some more sawdust.

I agree with Rikkor. Get some quality control to make sure those glasses hold their own.

Great project.

Thanks guys, I do test one or two of them every now and then.
I'm about ready for the weekend so I can do some testing and have a happy hour or two.

Bill, I thought the dust just added character, at least that's the excuse I give my wife as I head out to my workshop.

You could install some sliding glass doors with aluminum tracks on runners and add dust proof seals where required to solve the dusting issue Shelving

Great job (Also on your little girl)! An easier way to solve the dusting problem is to turn them upside-down. Anyway your a lucky man, I gave up smoking 22 years ago and now my Doctor has put me on the waggon. Think of me next happy hour

PS I like Rikkor's logic.
