Nice first bandsaw box. It reminds me of a whale tail going down into the water.

Are there more boxes in the works?

Wow! I just did my first bandsaw box earlier this week, and yours blows mine out of the water! Great design. I especially like how you designed in a disguise for the entry point by using the bottom 'point' on the drawer.

On mine, I just freehanded it without creating a design, but this inspires me to actually put the pen to paper! Thanks for posting.

Also, what types of wood did you use? I'm not good yet with telling wood apart.

@jimleigh1313, I believe he used mahogany (front and back) and walnut (sandwiched).

thanks for the kind words. spanish cedar and walnut. the furniture shop by my house throws away lots of offcuts. =)

not at all. i had to ask the cabinet shop what wood it was. spanish cedar is used sometimes as a cheaper look-alike for mahogany.
