"Routing My Mind for a Walkabout"

....and so after making a comment this morning about 'a need to get new pics' I started thinking!

Hmmm, hmm, hm, yes well I can already hear my mind working as a fine piece of machinery, tick-tock-tock-tick. One's mind is like a fine tuned router, ready at the flick of a switch to start 'routing' those shapes and edges that we have held on firmly to as ideas. And then those ideas, which in essence are only opinions, become truth and truth becomes a doctrine that the many will steal, fight and kill for….and time pays no-attention, marching to it's own set of drum-beats. And then all this proceeds from history, which if you live long enough, you will also see that his-story//her-story repeats it-self and then all this, is as if, from the start of our time.

WOW! Ha! Now where is that power switch, I think I need to turn the power off and give my mind a rest here before I go into overload…."woodworking Frank, keep on track with woodworking think-thoughts"....

Sitting here now, I'm looking out the window of my office at some wild turkeys in the back yard as they forage for food. Usually there's plenty of bird seed around, however soon we will be binging those feeders in as the bears are always stealing the feeders.

....thinking about today and what's on my plate, working on an old pine floor to be finished in tung oil, later on trying to get closure on a writing block table and then there's a rustic camp chair I'm also wanting closure on. Later on I hope to get out in the woods for some silent sitting….I feel the need to hear what a tree has to say today. And then later-later on there still remains clearing snow away from parts of the farm, as I help nature along and also get all the water drainage away from various buildings around here….well I had better stop as I'm all-ready overworking my mind again….oh yes, if time remains I think I'll go to the third floor of the barn and lay down some sub-floor….

Time to take a 'walkabout of the land', but first I think I'll have a 'walkabout with my eyes'....

....eyes are the window of the soul, what are you eyes revealing today an what does your soul have to say….

....there is the circle and then there is the circle within the circle….

....'walnuts in a half-shell'....

Thank you.

Hi Debbie;
--yes I did have thoughts of spring till I listened to what the 'they have said' crowd has said. Now they are saying somewhere-in-time on Friday late, that we have a northeaster of snow coming into my part of the landscape….6-10 inches and then on Saturday sleet? Well you just got to love it, although I was starting to get excited at looking and walking in brown mud. And yes, mud seasons is still coming and I'm ready to start playing with mud and wood,

If you don't like the weather in New England, wait a couple of minutes and it will probably change….and then also, this 'just is'....

GODSPEED,
Frank

Hi, Frank, I haven't been commenting, but I have been reading.

Your comment, "If you don't like the weather in…" is one I've hear in many different parts of the world where I've lived. I think this is true of most places - if you don't like what you're experiencing, wait, thing will change.

and for those who don't like our weather, I agree with my gas station attendant: If we didn't have our winters, everyone would want to live here!!

We are supposed to be getting snow again too.
On the weekend we had a 2.5 foot snowdrift covering our back yard (ok it was more than a drift)... By Tuesday I could see the bare ground. We had beautiful sunny weather for a couple of days.

--thanks Don; I imagine you are experiencing fall in that land of oz….?

--Debbie; some folks around here have been known to say, "now you've seen it, go home…."
