Project Information

I am not the worlds greatest wood turner but my little coffee scoop turned out real nice. I glued up a piece of walnut between 2 pieces of maple to form the scoop. I than took another piece of walnut and turned it down to make a nice little handle for it. The handle has a small foot on the end which fits into a hole that I drilled into the scoop. A couple of coats of high gloss friction polish and I completed this project out of some scrape wood on a saturday afternoon. As you can see I never did get to use it as a coffee scoop….my wife put it right in her display cabinet!

Very nice, gives the illusion of the cup slipping into the handle.
