Project Information
Decided to do something different with turning a mug. This mug is made up of segmented paduak and hard maple. Blanks were cut at 22 1/2 degrees and glued back up. The bottom plug is quilted maghoney left over from a cradle project. The mug insert was purchased at Woodcraft. I sanded the mug up to 2000 grit and sealed it with CSA light set glue and resanded again up to 2000 grit and applied high speed friction polish. The interior of the mug was sealed up with low expansion foam sealer and finally the mug insert glued in with epoxy glue.
