Project Information

Finally i got some time i could spend in my shop.

This time it was time to get my japanese chisels home, so i made what i think would fit to japanese chisels living in Denmark :)

Made of

Danish oak
american white oak
"smoked" oak and the small nails are made of palisander that i needed something that was harder than the oak to keep the "head" square.

I thought of building a "food" in each side, but for now i want it like this.

Thanks for looking.

What a great day :)

Very nice home you have built for your tools. I like the soft arch and details in this project. Great work.

The arch seems "oriental" somehow. Nice touch.

Do you plan to wall mount ?

Oh, Napoleon, they're gorgeous. I've been saving up, but something always steps in front of my Damascus. You're a lucky man, but you know that, shown by your respectful housing.

Your Samurai chisels will be a great contrast to the Viking Broad Sword that prepares all the mistakes for the stove. lol I love the curves, it looks like an upside down holder for the Samurai sword. Very Oriental. Beautiful.

Simple and beautiful. Very Zen! If I can ever afford a set of Japanese chisels (I LOVE Japanese cutting tools), I'm going to build a holder just like yours. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
