In summer of 2009 I sustained a spinal cord stroke which has resulted in me becoming a paraplegic. Now confined to a wheelchair for all my mobility I began looking for a new hobby to replace my time spent on the golf course (although I am working to return ther using an adapted golf cart).

I got back to building my flight simulator which in turn led to building a CNC router table which sparked a new interest in woodworking. I am now hooked and have starting amassing a few tools including the Beaver table saw in my icon.

In searching various web sites and forums recently I came upon Lumberjocks and in particular Rand's blog, posts, etc. Based on that I decided to join the forum. Looking forward to learning as much as I can from this group in addition to the other sources on the web.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome guys. Right now I am in the middle of 2 ‘projects’. The first is completing a CNC router machine which I started last fall. About 75% complete with some fine tuning and software learnng ahead of me. I know, not really a woodworking project but a project nonetheless. The other is developing a work shop in half of my garage. Right now there is a table saw and workbench in place with a variety of tools and scraps of wood here and there. I have put togeher a sketch of how I want to proceed and in the near future hope to have a clamp rack, router ‘table’ that attaches to my work bench, drill press shelf/stand and a miter saw station. Wish me luck.

Cheers
