Older HVLP system worth considering - 4 replies
What does anyone think about buying an older Fuji Q4 Pro system? The gun is not the newer T Series. I’m not exactly sure which gun it is, but it has a black colored top where the can attaches instead of the silver colored ones most of the more recent ones come with. Is this still a really good turbine/gun vs say an Earlex 5500?

I’m thinking about building a table/bench large enough that 4×8 sheets can be slipped in/out the long edges of the table. This would serve both as a sheet storage system and large assembly table and bench (with vises). I have 8’ ceilings so other sheet storage ideas seem to be taking too much floor space or limited access in...

3-foot shop light fixtures and bulbs - 5 replies
I have not seem them widespread, but are there 3’ fixtures and bulbs available? I bought my daughter a 48” wide shelving unit for starting plants. The 48” unit stands 74” + rollers tall—making this a fairly prominent piece of “furniture”. A 36” wide version is available, that is 54”...

Face frame for furniture cabinet - 19 replies

So, two open bays on either side of the middle vertical panel. I dadoed the top, bottom, sides, and middle divider to create a “box” with center partition. ...

I want to make a plant-starting/growing shelf. I’m planning to use wire shelving. My thought was also to permanently assemble a “frame” for the sides using lap joints or biscuits. Just a rectangular frame about 48” tall by 16” wide. Then somehow I would connect those frames at the top and bottom. But IR...

Thoughts on Stanley 9 1/2 with Craftsman blade - 4 replies
From ebay I bought a Stanley 9 1/2 for $21 including shipping. There were just 3 photos, and it looked restore-able. It is, but I noticed the blade (iron) says Craftsman (made in the USA). Now I understand at one time Stanley was making these for Sears, and in fact some have said a great bargain is a Craftsman 9 1/2 made by Stanley. I also...

Large workbench / plywood storage - 12 replies
So I have a need for some kind of bench—- and I have 10 or so sheets of plywood sitting on the 4’ edge against a wall with a couple bandclamps keeping (hopefully) them mostly flat. So this idea has come and gone before, but thought I’d pose it here. How about a large bench.. such that below the top there would be “slo...
