Hi all
I way an auto mech for Goodyear 18 years I way hurt on the job and had to retire. So for the last 12 years the love of my life and I have own a new home detailing business (cleaning) . At one time we were the largest detailing company in Colorado Springs. With the slow down in building we let all our employees go. So now the wife and I can work when and where we want to. This move gives the wife and I more time for wood working. And yes she is a wood workers to.
I learned my woodworking skills from my grandfather some 40 years ago. He was all old school hand saw and brace and bit man. The wife and I love the smell of saw dust. So we have done a lot of we projects. I like to build wooden replicas of construction equipment, big rigs and pre 1930 auto. The only problem is I have run out of space. So I am now into turning wooden hollow globe ornaments pens and other small turnings things what don't take up much room. The wife does scroll saw work and intarsia.
We are members of a number of other forum but be far this group of wood chewers is the best I have seen. I am glad to be member of the group, Keep the saw dust flying and be safe. coloradobob

Welcome to LumberJocks, it looks like you have some real interesting projects. My son would love to see some pictures of your ‘Mighty Machines’. I used to be a heavy equipment operator (many years ago) and still have a soft spot for the smell of deisel and hydraulic oil.

Welcome. I was born and raised near Greeley and really miss the mountains. My uncle lives in the Springs and also does intarsia. Maybe you would like to meet him.
