Not any more, I’m back and and catch’n up. trying to build for family, and friends while working my regular job is hard. the demand is out there, my recenct injury has been a learning expencive lesson. its been a busy year so far, working at nights as a security officer, and getting up early in morning for a few hours, then staying in the shop all day on my days off to keep up with the request of everyones dream of what they would like built. The economy is kinda shaky, at work we have just been hit with lay-offs, so far I.m still there. Put it all together, with these chain of events I’ve went and added a web site www.borderfrenchwoodworking.com and With the help of My best friend Ray in Gulfport, MS, and now my brother-in law Tracy in Pensacola, Fl together we have decided to try and go full time between our normal work.
down and out momentary #1: o' b careful little hans

Two weeks ago August 17th 2008, after three years new into wood working I graduated to my first injury! No matter how careful you are, using all safety tools, jigs, features that you can master up, an injury can occur. I know now from experience, so does my skil xshop table saw with the new ryobi 60 tooth blade, and my right hand middle finger——whats left of it! Now I’m unable to design, create, show off any wood working, nor finish a repeated customers almost done 6 piece oak vanity cabinet, a new customers oak hall tree, a repeated customers picture frame. I have a growing list of future jobs to build, unable at this time to enjoy my hobby. Every day when I’m drinking coffee I take a little tour into my shop and watch the cobb webs increase. then later that afternoon I get ready for my regular job. wishing and dreaming of going full time into what I’ve grown to love and enjoy! WOODWORKING
My finger is healing, will get to keep it, go twice a week for hand therapy, hard to use only one hand, on the road to recovery——lesson learned.
