More Show Stuff - 11 replies Well, I just finished up another show which surpassed all the others again. People are out, spending money now which is making up for the dismal slow first half of the year. This show in Tennessee was rainy and/or cold all three days, but it didn’t deter the customers. It Just Keeps Getting Better - 6 replies This past weekend tells me that people are finally starting to spend money again. After a dismal year of shows, my last two shows have resulted in stellar sales. This weekend was partially rained out on Saturday, but still finished strong on Sunday to make it my best one this year. I think the game is back on!! |

A hiccup in the space time continuum - 8 replies I don’t know if it is a fluke, but the show I did last weekend dispelled the notion that we are in a recession. Myself, as well as most crafters and artists I have talked to, have experience an almost total shut down this year in sales. Our expectations are so low right now, that we are happy if we break even. This is interesting - 80 replies I got this email today from a guy today claiming intellectual design infringement on, I guess, one of my cutting board styles. I’ve never heard of this company so I went out and looked at his web site and some of his boards look like one of mine. Maybe it's me, but.... - 17 replies I went to two different Home Depot stores today and I swear there were more employees in the stores than customers. It was real creepy. I couldn’t walk from one end to the other without someone asking if they could help me every 20 feet. It’s like running a gauntlet. The only place I could get away from them was in the bathroom. |
