Ridgid R86006 drill only combo
First this was an upgrade from my 15 year old Craftsman 14.4 volt cordless drill. I was unable to source batteries for it and it finally died. That being said I got this at my local HD with a 20% Harbor freight coupon and 10% veteran discount. Taking it out of the box, my first impression was that it was very light and didn’t seem “hefty” enough. That being said, I noticed right away that the batteries had charge indicators on them and they both were at 2 lights out of 4...
Oshlun 8" stacked dado review
Let me preface this review with the only other dado i have used was a very old sears “wobble” dado that i used once and refused to put back on my saw. I bought this last week as rockler had it on sale for 59$ and all the reviews I saw of the 6” set said it was a good buy. Its a stacked set with full blade chippers which i like better than the wing chippers. I used it on a scrap piece of pine and had no tear out and flat bottoms. The cutter blades are made so that they pu...
Infiniter Laser guide
This is an aftermarket laser guide that replaces the outer washer on your arbor. The packaging says that it will fit an arbor that is 7/16×5/8. the package says that it will not fit these 12” miter saws, Ridgid, pro-tech, makita ls1221, dewalt dw705s produced before 2005. It will not fit these circle saws: Porter cable quick-change , all worm drives and skil. I just put this on my GMC 10 inch sliding compound miter and i have to say it works pretty good. the laser is turned ...
IGAGING digital angle cube
I bought this from Rockler about a week ago, it was on sale for 10$ cheaper than the wixey, so i figured why not, if it sucks i can return it. So far I have to say this thing rocks.Pros:-has really strong magnets in it, wont slip at all off of a highly polished blade.-cheaper than wixey-has hold button for odd position angles-numbers auto flip when you turn it upside down to make it easier to read-takes a 9v battery-has magnets on 3 sides ( i dont know if the wixey does)-has machined metal b...
Ridgid R4511 my own little review
just as a disclaimer my last table saw was a craftsman benchtop tablesaw. It worked well for what it was meant for but I was quickly running into its limitations and was getting quite upset with it. This is my first what i would like to call my first “real” table saw in that its meant for precision work and not basically a circle saw mounted upside down. Man this thing was a bugger to find, I called every HD in west TX and east NM and found that one of the Amarillo stores h...
