Northern VA- Woodworking Show

Karson and I will be there Friday and Saturday. We are looking to meet up with everyone who can join us.

Chuck I’ll be ready to beat on your bench. Do I need to bring my own sharp chisel or do I use your dull ones?

Are we going for thru dovetails or half blind ones. I might need to practice before I go.

You’re welcome to bring your chisels along and we’ll compare. Just so you know, my arms are perpetually hairless at this stage in my life. And we can cut whichever type of dovetail you like. Normally my demo is through dovetails but I have, on occassion, done half-blinds at the shows by request. Obviously when you saw my half-blind demo at Timonium I had already received several requests. I usually make the crowd work for a half-blind demo. I even attempt to do my best Frank Klausz impression from time to time.

Well, I said I was going to be there Saturday, but my plans have changed once again. I’m going this afternoon. Just have to put in a few hours at the office, pick up some X-rays and I’ll be on my way. So probably around 1:30pm I’ll be there. Just look for the tall guy in a green/white collared shirt with a green pullover with a big bald spot (if you’re tall enough to see it).

I’m going to try and make it for opening bell. We’ll see how the day job goes. I’ll PM you my cell number and just give me a ring when you get there.
