Was going to post this to a forum but did not know which one…
Next weekend is the Woodworking Show at the expo center in Chantilly Virginia (or Dulles if you wish) just wondering if their are others planning to go. Due to some other weekend plans, I am only going to be able to make it on Friday but plan to get as much out of it as possible.
For those that are not familiar with it. See more information at their website.. www.thewoodworkingshows.com
I have gone the last two years and ithere is always plenty to see and to learn. Hope I can catch up to some others there.

I will be exhibiting again. Stop by the booth and we’ll cut some dovetails! Bring Karson along…he just watched me cut them in Baltimore.

I’ll be there with bells on.

No! Make that with my LumberJocks shirt on.

Chuck I’ll be ready to beat on your bench. Do I need to bring my own sharp chisel or do I use your dull ones?

Are we going for thru dovetails or half blind ones. I might need to practice before I go.

Karson,

You’re welcome to bring your chisels along and we’ll compare. Just so you know, my arms are perpetually hairless at this stage in my life. And we can cut whichever type of dovetail you like. Normally my demo is through dovetails but I have, on occassion, done half-blinds at the shows by request. Obviously when you saw my half-blind demo at Timonium I had already received several requests. I usually make the crowd work for a half-blind demo. I even attempt to do my best Frank Klausz impression from time to time.

Greg,

I’m looking forward to meeting you. Looks like my bench will be fully occupied with dovetailers.

Well, I said I was going to be there Saturday, but my plans have changed once again. I’m going this afternoon. Just have to put in a few hours at the office, pick up some X-rays and I’ll be on my way. So probably around 1:30pm I’ll be there. Just look for the tall guy in a green/white collared shirt with a green pullover with a big bald spot (if you’re tall enough to see it).

I’m going to try and make it for opening bell. We’ll see how the day job goes. I’ll PM you my cell number and just give me a ring when you get there.
