Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Hi everyone, and thank you all for the warm reception! I seem to be retarded a bit when it comes to social sites and how they work, so that’s why I say hi here – cause I don’t know how to respond individually!

Jim, thanks for the links – I DO know how to click them, so hopefully I’ll learn something soon! I’ll be busy doing wood stuff for a while though – I broke my old bench (which wasn’t really a bench) and decided to build my own – this big stuff is way outside my comfort zone – but I’m fixing my old benchtop first so I have a work surface – am I whacked or what? Anyway, I’m waiting with baited breath to see what Naomi does with hers (planning on surreptitiously pilfering her design ideas, don’t tell her though).
