I am first a husband of an amazing wife and a father of two awesome kids. By day I am a Construction Manager. After those two things, I am an avid period furnituremaker.
My Dad Ben Hobbs is a professional period furnituremaker in North Carolina, and I learned from him by working with him growing up. With the need for furniture for my daughter's room a few years ago, I picked up woodworking again a few years ago. I enjoy building Queen Anne and Chippendale style furniture and collecting books related to period furniture. I like to take on new challenges year by year to stretch my skills, and to learn from those who are masters in the craft like my father.
