An old friend gave me this cherry burrl. He was a fish carver in years past and thought I could do something with it. I thought a Rainbow Trout would be appropriate. This is my first attempt at a fish and painting is not one of my best skills. Well,here it is anyway.

A polor bear is a good HOT summer project.

This is a Basswood carving of a Gold Finch.It was carved and painted with the guidence of a Workbench Project by Victor Paroyan. I changed the habitat to maple leaves using copper wire, painted leaves cut from aluminum flashing and a slice of unidentified wood. I hope I was able to do the project justice. This is a wood duck carving from a Work Shop Project Plan. The painting was a real challenge for a colored blind old man. A lot of study and coaching from my son.

This sailor and sea bag are crafted from a picture that caught my eye.

This is a 8”x8” Paduak & Basswood Bowl. I tried to combine the chip carveing with turning. The chip Carving was done before the segments went togather. This made for too much care in the turning process.

This is a 141 piece segmented Tea Pot I Finished last spring. It is mane of Walnut & Aspen. The top is Walnut and Holley. Thanks for looking.

This is my 6th Segmented Bowl. It is made with Ash and Purple Heart. The photos taken with a cell phone
so are not so good. I’ll try to do better with the next project.
