another band saw question - 7 replies Just finishing cleaning and tuning my new 14” bandsaw (new to me). Just wondering about the different speeds. I have 4 speeds and am not sure what speed is best for what. Can anyone give advice on this?? I am mostly interested in doing resawing and got a 1/2” 4 TPI blade. Thanks! |

Anyone know how to get duct tape off cast iron??? - 28 replies I got a bandsaw today and the old owner had put duct tape on the table (he used it for metal fabrication). It has been on there for probably 8 years and I cannot get it off. Not sure what to do. Tried some wd-40, turpinoid and a heat gun. Anyone know of any “tricks” to get this s@!$ off? thanks |

Finish question - 8 replies I have built a humidor for my step-son and I wanted to put a high gloss finish on it. Need help with a 3-point miter - 3 replies Hey guys, I’m getting ready to build a humidor and I wanted to use some of my coco bolo. I was thinking of rabbeting all sides, top, bottom, edges and inlaying the coco bolo. I am trying to figure out the easiest way to cut the 3 point miter, where the corners of the box meets.
